Fed Up Part Two

Or five depending on how you look at it. I decided to let Dish Network screw me over one more time. Saturday (26th) they came out yet again and installed the fifth 508 receiver. After a few hours it’s still working but I don’t have a lot of faith it will continue to do so. The tech admitted they have been having a lot of problems with the 508 and we both agreed it was junk. If this one fails I’ll just get DirectTv and a TiVo and then fight Dish for my money back. Having the tech admit they have problems with the 508 should make that easier.

In other news, there isn’t any other news. It’s spring… sort of, and I’ve been doing non town things, like washing and waxing my car. It’s new and the thrill will wear off soon and then I’ll be back to letting the rain wash it and the birds wax it.

On the duck side of things… (what duck side of things?) You know, ducks… quack quack. Every year a pair of ducks nest in the swamp… er make that wetlands just south of my lawn. This year there are TWO pairs! Hope my neighbor's cats doesn’t get the ducklings before they grow up. If the water in the lake stays high long enough they won’t be able too. It’s fun watching the mother and the ‘kids’ waddle down to the lake and like a train putt putt around the lake. Everyone on the lake is very protective of the various families of ducks around the lake. We all enjoy them very much. Maybe I can get a picture later on and post it. I’ll give it a try anyway.
