Humor at Verizon Phone Company

I just got a call from Verizon about a new 'plan' that I could sign up for. It seemed like a good deal so I said okay and went through the usual litany of stuff to confirm my choices. Then the humor. At the end the operator gave me a number to call if I had any problems with their service. 716-890-7100. "Is that a tool call", I asked and the operator said, "Yes". At this point I cracked up and couldn't stop laughing. Imagine the phone company charging a long distance fee to call about trouble on THEIR system! It just struck me as so absurdly funny that I couldn't stop laughing. The operator was laughing too because it is hard not to laugh when you're talking to someone who is cracking up. Just too funny. Sometimes you just have to wonder what idiot at Verizon made this decision. This makes Verizon look stupid and gives them bad PR. But it was worth it for the laugh.
