MSNBC’s CHRIS MATTHEWS: “You know, I get the same thrill up my leg, all over me, every time I hear those words. I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen, that’s me. He’s talking about my country, nobody does it better.”
Now you know why NBC and MSNBC hasn’t got any viewers beyond the true believers.
Despite being waylaid by the courts, Arizona’s immigration law is still growing as a powerful political force, shaping elections across the country and creating a new generation of campaign stars in and out of the state.
The law’s sponsor has become a sought-after kingmaker in Republican primaries, one of the chief legal advisers is running for statewide office in Kansas, and several Arizona sheriffs backing the law have earned substantial television airtime. Maybe the most obvious example is Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who has used the law to take control of her race and all but guarantee she’ll win in November. …
When Obama decided to sue Arizona over their immigration law he highlighted his failure to secure the borders. Now Obama is suing Sheriff Arpaio who is doing the job Obama is failing to do and that is control illegal immigration at the border. This is having the effect of galvanizing his opponents against him and another nail in the coffin of his approval numbers. At one time I thought the dems might have some master plan to win in November but now I think they are just dumb and tone deaf to what the vast majority of Americans want.
The giveaway regarding presidential candidate Barack Obama’s plans for America was his repeated use of the words “fundamentally transform.”
Some conservatives instinctively reacted negatively — in fact, with horror — at the thought of fundamentally transforming America.
One unbridgeable divide between Left and Right is how each views alternatives to present-day America.
Those on the Left imagine an ideal society that has never existed, and therefore seek to “fundamentally transform” America. When liberals imagine an America fundamentally transformed, they envision it becoming a nearly utopian society in which there is no greed, no racism, no sexism, no inequality, no poverty, and ultimately no unhappiness.
Conservatives, on the other hand, look around at other societies and look at history and are certain that if America were fundamentally transformed, it would become just like those other societies. America would become a society of far less liberty, of ethically and morally inferior citizens, and of much more unhappiness. Moreover, cruelty would increase exponentially around the world. …
The problem for both the left and the right is that neither understands the other. This doesn’t stop both from trying to explain the other sides views. I know for a hard fact that descriptions of why people like me think the way we do is not understood, not even close, by people on the left. We, as people, as humans, can only see the world through our own eyes. We fail and fail miserably when we think we understand those who are not exactly like us. That holds true beyond political views, it applies to gender, race, religion and everything else. This article tries to do the impossible, tries to explain the left from the viewpoint of the right. It is doomed to fail yet we’ll read it and try to do the impossible, understand those who don’t agree with us.
A simple real life example, see if this is true for you:
The world would be a better place if everyone drove like me.
He’s the first vice president to have an L.A. school named after him, sharing the honor with author Rachel Carson. Fittingly, the campus will be devoted to environmental themes. But there’s a catch. …
“Las Vegas based company Righthaven found two articles from the Las Vegas Review-Journal about Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle reprinted on her web site without permission, so it did what it always does: bought the rights to the articles from the Review-Journal and sued the alleged infringer, seeking unspecified damages.”
… Arpaio told the Arizona Republic that he thought the lawsuit was “camouflage” for a federal attempt to curtail his anti-illegal immigration sweeps in mostly Latino communities. …
It’s because Obama wants to legalize illegal immigrants so they’ll vote for democrats, plain and simple. Obama thinks we’re idiots.
Vowing to find new ways to stimulate the sputtering economy, President Barack Obama will call for long-term investments in the nation’s roads, railways and airports that would cost at least $50 billion, administration officials said. …
His answer to everything, spend more money. It didn’t work before because he didn’t spend enough, so let’s spend more money we don’t have. The man is a blithering fool.
Today, Big Government, not the private sector, is Big Labor’s bread and butter. That’s why union officials push relentlessly for higher taxes and bigger government and seem completely unconcerned that the policies they advocate will slash overall private-sector job growth in future years.
Just three decades ago, less than a third of all employees subject to “exclusive” union bargaining worked for the government. Earlier this year, the U.S. Labor Department reported that for the first time ever, a majority of unionized workers across America are now government employees.
Unfortunately, Congress is poised - perhaps as soon as this month - to pass legislation that would fuel even faster growth of monopoly unionism in state and local government employment, which is already five times more heavily unionized than the private sector. That’s bad news for private employees, including union members whom union officials claim to represent, and for everyone else who pays taxes. …
As the Nissan Leaf moves closer to production late this year, consumers who have put down $99 deposits on the all-electric car are learning more about the financial impact of driving on the leading edge. And the costs are shocking, potentially tallying thousands of dollars.
Electric-car buyers need to factor not just the purchase price (or lease payments) and energy consumption, but the cost for an at-home charger and its installation.
The charger runs from about $700 to $1,200. Being much more than a power cord, the charger takes the alternating current from your house or elsewhere on the grid and converts it to DC for charging the batteries. It also protects the batteries from overheating, overcharging, or charging too fast. …

The North Bitch Diet.
This is a video that was made by Dr. Herman Melville about a diet created to enhance the “performance” of -both- partners in the bedroom. The diet was never released due to it’s over effectiveness and fears of lawsuits. The effectiveness of the diet is graphically discussed between the creator of the diet and his partner Eunice. The details of the diet is not revealed in this video.
The last surviving copy of this 2005 video, long thought lost, was recently found in a storage box and has been uploaded to YouTube for it’s historical value.
Thank you,
Former team members of The North Bitch Diet
With recent polls showing Republicans poised for major congressional gains this fall, party leaders are wary of appearing overconfident and peaking too soon, playing down for now the prospect of winning majorities in the House and Senate in a vote that is still two months away. …
It’s good that their worried, it’s after Labor Day that people start to pay attention to the election. Nobody wins the game at the end of the first half and the dems haven’t given up yet.
Adobe confirmed to Phone Scoop in a call that though Android 2.2 is required for Flash Player Mobile 10.1 to work, that doesn’t mean that all Android 2.2 devices will be able to access and run Flash Player Mobile. According to Adobe, smartphones need to have a minimum set of specifications in order to run Flash PLlayer Mobile, including a fast enough processor and graphics support. Adobe’s web site notes that devices with a VGA screen need to have at least a 550Mhz processor in addition to hardware vector FPU support. Devices with WVGA displays need to have a dedicated Cortex A8 800MHz processor or higher, with the same hardware vector FPU support. Adobe said that the Google Nexus One, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Desire, and Motorola Droid, Droid 2 and Droid X are all certified to run Flash. Adobe noted that it knows of several Android handsets that will be released later this year that won’t meet the minimum spec requirements to support Flash, though Adobe couldn’t name them because they haven’t been announced by the manufacturer/carrier.
“Ryan Lawler writes on GigaOm that although many have touted the availability of Flash on Android devices as a competitive advantage over Apple’s mobile devices, while trying to watch videos from ABC.com, Fox.com and Metacafe using Flash 10.1 on a Nexus One over a local Wi-Fi network connected to a 25-Mbps Verizon FiOS broadband connection, mobile expert Kevin Tofel found that videos were slow to load, if they loaded at all, leading to an overall very inconsistent experience while using his Android device for video. ‘While in theory Flash video might be a competitive advantage for Android users, in practice it’s difficult to imagine anyone actually trying to watch non-optimized web video on an Android handset,’ writes Lawler. ‘All of which makes one believe that maybe Steve Jobs was right to eschew Flash in lieu of HTML5 on the iPhone and iPad.’”
President Barack Obama said that while jobs were being created, “they’re not being made as fast as they need to.” He also said he would announce a series of proposals designed to create jobs and boost economic growth next week. …
Psst, Mr. President, unemployment jumped to 9.6%, and that’s NOT in the right direction. I know he doesn’t have a clue but surly he can’t be this dumb to make that statement on the same day his administration came out with those numbers… Or can he? I’m guessing his, “series of proposals” will have the same affect his stimulus package had in keeping unemployment under 8%… Fail! But he’ll make it sound good and the Kool-aid drinkers will suck it up. They have too, they can read the polls, they’re scared. I am too. If the reps win big they’ll think they have a mandate to take the country to the far right when all we want is the center. They’ll overdo it and then the dems will win it big next time. Pendulums swings like pendulums do and the further right it swings, the further left it will swing next time. Ideally would be the reps taking the house and a 50-50 tie in the senate. Biden would be the deciding vote IF all the dems could agree on something. Even 51-49 would be okay as that would paralyze the senate… and that ain’t a bad thing.

This is really pissing me off. Obama refuses to protect our borders, even coddling to drug lords and murderers and now he’s attacking those real Americans who are trying to protect us. I hope to God that you and everyone you know vote out as many dems as possible on November 2nd. That’s the only way we can save our country from tyranny.
Apple’s iOS mobile operating system is now the third-most popular platform on the Internet, with a share nearly six times larger than Android’s, according to Web measurement company Net Applications.
Which versions of Android on what phones from which carriers are they comparing Apple’s iOS too.
“Sensing Senators don’t have the stomach to try and pass a stand-alone bill in broad daylight that would give the President the power to shut down the Internet in a national emergency, the Senate is considering attaching the Internet Kill Switch bill as a rider to other legislation that would have bi-partisan support.”
“According to the Wall Street Journal, there’s a new species of patent troll out there. These new trolls sue companies that sell products with an expired patent number on them. That’s right, it’s against the law to sell a product that’s marked with an expired patent number. The potential fine? $500. Per violation - and some of the companies have patent numbers on old plastic molds that have made literally billions of copies. Using whistle-blower laws, ‘anyone can file a claim on behalf of the government, and plaintiffs must split any fine award evenly with it.’ You’ve been warned.”
