Secretary
of State says Knapp rezone
NOT NECESSARY!
Tells
Knapp appraiser Frederick Hudson he is WRONG!
It is
not necessary to rezone to give the Knapp's their money!
Legislator
Candidate John Steger wasted $40,000 of taxpayer's money on
a fool's errand.
Supervisor and Legislator Candidate John
Steger has wasted $40,000 of taxpayers money, thousands of
Paul Knapp's money and a similar amount of our money on a
fools errand. We told him countless times that this rezone
wasn't necessary yet he foolishly plowed ahead wasting everyone's
time and money for NOTHING! Paul Knapp could have had
his money months ago were it not for Steger's pigheadedness.
Meeting after meeting, letter after letter we told him this
wasn't needed. He ignored us. I don't think he is fool enough
to ignore the New York Secretary of State . . . but I could
be wrong. Only an idiot and a complete and utter fool would
pursue this rezone after the finding by the Secretary of State.
We will have to wait and see what Steger does. The rezone
isn't necessary the compromise is moot. It is over, someone
tell John Steger!
To explain the letter: The sentence that
says: "It is our opinion that a hypothetical condition
could be valued without the hypothetical condition being actually
present, especially in a situation where an alternative use
value is sought." Means that you don't have to actually
rezone Paul Knapp's land commercial to determine what it would
be worth if it were commercial. If this sounds familiar it
is because that is what we have been saying all along.
The sentence that says: "We have
notified Mr. Hudson of our findings in this matter, to correct
any misconceptions he may have on this issue." Means
that they slapped Hudson on the wrist for not knowing his
job. They did not find that he 'intentionally deceive the
public' which probably means that it was unintentional
but deceptive. He was just plain wrong and he got told about
it.
Now Paul Knapp can move forward with his
plans for joining the Farmland Protection Program. Steger
and the Town Board can drop their unneeded rezone plan and
we can all move on. I can't help but wonder what Steger will
do. Is he smart enough to know it is over? The next Town Board
meeting is September 10th, I'll see you there.
