CNY WINTERS TO BE SHORTEST EVER!

It's all a matter of perspective.

If you live in Central New York you may be one of those who gets tired of the long winters. I've discovered a way to make the winter just one week long! That's right, one week! It's all a matter of perspective. Since school days we were all accustomed to summer being just two months long (July, August). Actually summer is much longer than that. It's all a matter of perspective. Think about it. Didn't it feel like summer when daylight savings time kicked in? Overnight the days were longer and you could do things outdoors when you get home from work. And aren't September and October just a great time of year? I can't change the weather but I can change my perspective. So I changed my calendar.

First day of summer...  When daylight savings time kicks in.
First day of fall... When daylight savings time kicks out.
First day of winter... Christmas eve.
First day of spring... January 1st.

My original calendar didn't have any winter at all. I just went from fall to spring on December 21st when the days start getting longer. Many complained that this did not leave any winter for the kids, so I made this small concession. Besides we can all put up with just one week of winter, and it's nice for Christmas.

So if you don't mind a little snow with your spring and fall, you can use my calendar to get over the humdrum of those long CNY winters. After all…

It's all just a matter of perspective.

PS Enjoy the last two weeks of summer, fall starts on October 29th!
