A short note to my Democrat
friends.
Don't call me in the morning...
In case you didn't know, I am a Republican and as of this evening,
just 20 days from the election, our respective candidates are
neck and neck in the poles for the presidency. It could go either
way. Hillary Clinton and Rick Lazio are in a senate race that
is also too close to call.
I know you want your guys to win and I want my guys to win.
The details of each position and the arguments don't matter
because neither of us are going to change our minds at this
point. For me there is another element and that is Bill Clinton.
For me it is not a race between George and Al or Rick and Hillary.
It is between Bill Clinton and my principles, between what I
feel he did to our country and whether he gets away with it
or not. For me a win by Al or Hillary will mean that Bill got
away with it and that will tick me off. Mind you it is not Bill
beating Newt or the congress. It is Bill doing it to my vision
for this country. That is what will annoy me.
Neither of us knows who is going to win and one of us is going
to be unhappy the day after. So let's make a deal... I won't
call you and you don't call me until the losing side has had
a chance to mourn their loss. AND if my guys lose and you call
me the next day to gloat... don't take it personally when I
hang up the phone in you ear... Deal?

PS If I hear you say that Hillary is smart one more time, I'm
going to puke. If being smart is all she's got going for her,
then she shouldn't be running. Heck, I'm smart and you sure
wouldn't want me for your senator... would you?
