SONG BREAKS PROMISE!

Pumps 400,000 Gallons the first day ! ! !

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission rejected Songs emergency permit request. Song then promised to pump less than 60,000 gallons per day but they pumped over 400,000 gallons the first day they hooked up the well!!

Song Mountain did not get Site approval, Zoning approval, DEC approval, SRBC approval or use good common sense in all matters concerning this well. It is one of the worst ideas on every count that anyone could possibly conceive. Song Mountain seems to be deaf to the potential disaster and seems only concerned with profit. If unchecked we may find ourselves holding the bag after the disaster happens. Song Mountain would go bankrupt. Both Song and Crooked lakes would be destroyed. Hundreds of wells in the area would go dry or become contaminated for GOD knows how long. 60 Minutes would do a piece examining how it all happened and why somebody didn't do something to stop it when they could.

  WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR.

We presented our case before the Zoning Board of Appeals on December 30th in one of the longest meetings on record. In an incredible display of arrogance Songs lawyer Scott Chatfield, called one of the residents of Preble 'stupid' and then a 'Horses Ass' and finally threatened bodily harm. This from their lawyer! Our concerns about the lakes, our wells and the environment were ridiculed. Songs arrogance towards us is beyond belief.

  CALL TO ACTION!

The December meeting adjourned at 12:15 AM and no vote was taken due to some missing reports. If you care about the lakes, If you want to save it for your children and your childrens children. If you want to save it for the girl scouts. If you just think that Song and Crooked lakes are more important as lakes rather than profit for the Rochester Rich then WE NEED YOUR HELP!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

They Zoning Board of Appeals will vote on Wednesday the 20th at 7:30 PM at the Preble town hall. Come to the Zoning Board meeting and show your support.
