Bloodmobile on Sat., Feb. 14th

There will be a bloodmobile on Saturday, February 14th at the Tully United Community Church from 8:00 AM to1:00 PM. There is an urgent need for blood. To help to expedite the process, make an appointment by calling Fred Odhner at (315) 696 8983. Walk-ins will also be welcome.

ST. LOUIS Jan. 6 - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton apologized for joking that Mahatma Gandhi used to run a gas station in St. Louis, saying it was 'a lame attempt at humor.'

The New York Democrat made the remark at a fund-raiser Saturday. During an event here for Senate candidate Nancy Farmer, Clinton introduced a quote from Gandhi by saying, 'He ran a gas station down in St. Louis.'"


"The director of a U.S. center devoted to Gandhi's teachings said the remarks amounted to stereotyping and were insensitive."

RE: Preble Stinks

Great information on manure dumping in Preble. I agree wholeheartedly that this practice needs to be curbed. I'm all for farming, but am also of the opinion that better faming practices could be put into use. Farms need to adopt methods that aren't so intrusive upon others and the environment.

My water well is already loaded with nitrates. Several times a year, in spring and summer, I have to close all of the windows in the house because of the stench. I'm not alone in this regard. No one would stand for this if the source of the pollution was a manufacturing plant.
