FRC Praises Recess Appointment of Charles Pickering to Federal Bench
Friday January 16, 4:17 pm ET

"This is a bold and necessary move by President Bush," said FRC's Perkins

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to news that President Bush will use his recess appointment authority to place Charles Pickering on the federal bench, Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins released the following statement:

"This is a bold and necessary move by President Bush. Left-wing groups and their allies on the Senate Judiciary Committee have worked overtime these past three years to besmirch the character and record of Mr. Pickering. Charles Pickering is exactly the type of judge this country needs on our federal bench.

Law firm seeks source of media leak in Rush Limbaugh probe

"Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, has accused Krischer spokesman Michael Edmondson of leaking confidential information about the investigation to the media. Black also has said he asked Krischer for an investigation into Edmondson without receiving a response.

'Although we have nothing to do with the Landmark request, we obviously are in agreement with many of the points they raise and are anxious to see what information they receive,' Black said in a statement Thursday.

Edmondson said Thursday his responses to news media inquiries have been proper under the law.

Landmark's request specifically seeks 'any and all communications, information and records in the possession of Michael Edmondson' relating to the Limbaugh investigation.

Black maintains that the investigation into Limbaugh, a conservative radio commentator, is politically motivated. Krischer is a Democrat."
I'm shocked, shocked that politics are involved.

Town Board Audio a Big Hit!

Thanks for all the feedback everybody. Seems the audio was easy for all to hear which is amazing when you see the i-BEAD I used to make it. I'll be using it from now on for every meeting I go to. My new server has an almost unlimited amount of space so I can upload all of them. Here is what the i-BEAD looks like.

Hollywood Stars Walk as Prosecutors Target Rush

The list of the addicted and famous is huge.

It includes such luminaries as Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Downey Jr., Kelsey Grammer, Tim Allen, Matthew Perry, Charlie Sheen, Billy Joel, Christian Slater, Ozzy Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Ben Affleck, Paula Poundstone, Tawny Kitaen andNick Nolte.

Somehow, whether for pain or thrill, Tinseltown poppers or would-be shoppers never seem to be pursued with the same vigor as Rush seems to be.

In fact, the opposite is true.

1/12/2004 Town Board Meeting Audio

This is a test!

I have a new gadget which allows digital recording up to 14 hours! It's called the i-BEAD. It's about the size of a pack of gum and also plays MP3s, FM Stereo and works as a 256MB Flash drive. I used the digital recording capability to record the entire Town Board meeting tonight. The resulting file is 8.37 MB and is 36 min 21 sec long. I've put it up here two ways. One is a web page that will start playing the file as soon as you go to it. The other is a link to the actual sound file. I think the best way is to download the file to your disk and then you can play it from there. You would do that by right clicking on the link below and select save to disk. (Control click on a Mac) The volume is a tad low as the board was several feet from me. Turn up your volume before you play it. I may be able to increase the gain with software but I haven't looked into that yet. About 23 minutes into the recording the furnace came on and that didn't help. All in all I think it worked very well, but I could use some feedback from you. Let me know what you think.

This is a test page of audio of the Town Board here.
Direct link to audio. Right click or control click here and save to disk. (8.37 MB ~ 36 min 21 sec)

I also took some pictures and video of the new Town Board here.
